COVID-19 UPDATE

England – Matt Hancock has today announced that a large swathe of the country will be moving to Tier 4 from just after midnight tonight, Wednesday.  A number of current Tier 2 areas will be moving to Tier 3.  A full list of the affected areas can be found here:

Tier 4 is essentially lockdown and in Tier 3 areas amusement arcades are closed and pubs can only open for takeaway.

Despite the welcome news about the Astra Zeneca vaccine all countries of the UK are essentially in lockdown for the foreseeable future placing unbearable strain on members.  We will continue our efforts to lobby for additional support as well as to press for clarity around any re-opening criteria.
