First meeting of Amusement Industry Joint Consultative Committee

Bacta has held the first meeting of the Amusement Industry Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) which is part of its constitutional status as an Employers Association.

The JCC is made-up five employers and five employees with the Chair alternating.  MERKUR UK Operations Director, Steve Ambrose Chaired April’s inaugural meeting.

Outlining the role of the JCC, Robert Gibb, Bacta’s Executive Director Commercial stated: “This is a progressive initiative whose purpose is to bring together employers and employee representatives in order to provide a regular forum for consultation on matters relevant to industrial relations, productivity, work arrangements and terms and conditions of employment which are deemed appropriate.

“The JCC will ensure that the views of employees are sought on existing practices, proposed changes and maters which impact employment.”

“I am very grateful to the employers and employees who have volunteered to contribute to the JCC which will next meet in September.”
