SAVE THE DATES: BACTA WEBINARS

Bacta is launching a series of interactive webinars, designed to tackle weighty subjects facing members’ businesses in an engaging, informative way.

March 4, 2021

The first webinar will look at how Brexit is impacting businesses in our sector. Since we left the EU, exports, imports, tariffs, data and hiring have all been affected. The way we do business with Europe and the wider world has changed. Find out how your business can adapt, ask questions and share your experiences. Speakers will include Justin Burke, General Manager Sales, Sega Amusements International and Quentin Stott, Managing Director, Reflex Gaming.

The second webinar will provide a roadmap to the Gambling Review, offering an opportunity to hear bacta’s asks and expectations and how they align with other industry bodies. It is an opportunity for members to give their input.

Featuring James Miller, outgoing President of bacta and Greg Wood, incoming President.

Entitled ‘Reopening – Managing risk and demand’ the third webinar looks at what will be required when businesses can start trading once more.

When we reopen, we will still be required to work with certain restrictions, we will have to offer reassurance to customers and authorities and we may have to cope with unprecedented demand. Bacta will set out priorities in its reopening lobbying and we will do our best to answer your queries.

Featuring the four divisional Chairs: Joseph Cullis, Peter Davies, Steve Ambrose and Tony Boulton.

John White, bacta CEO says, “These webinars will be an informal and engaging way for members to bring themselves up to date with issues affecting their businesses and to interact with us and each other to share experience and best practice. Based on our experience of previous events of this nature, we expect there will be a good take-up, particularly as these topics affect us all.”

Links to join the webinars for free will be made available to bacta members in due course.

bactaPortal Webinars

Bacta continues to support members with two further webinars, providing an overview of the features of the new bactaPortal.

“Bacta has spent significant resources developing the bactaPortal which has functionality that goes well beyond what was possible with a paper-based system,” says John White. “We are therefore very keen to be able to share with members the features and the benefits. The bactaPortal will allow sites to put their social responsibility practice front and centre and to support their staff in their customer interactions, so that they can be confident in keeping players in their location safe from gambling-related harm.”

May 24, 2021 10.30am

bactaPortal (Owner/Managements)

Designed for owner/managers and will cover the benefits of the web-based system, which meets all LCCP requirements and helps staff to efficiently and intuitively log customer interactions and manage self-exclusions.

John White will host the session and talk delegates through the portal with the support of bacta’s Head of Social Responsibility and Compliance Simon Bradbury and Chris Wrigley of ISD Group, the developer.

bactaPortal (Staff)

Designed to help introduce staff members to the bactaPortal. This will provide a step by step guide to how the portal works, how to enter information and the benefits over the existing paper-based systems.

Delegates will get plenty of opportunity to ask questions of John, Simon and Chris during the session. It will be invaluable training for those companies planning to introduce the bactaPortal into operations.
