After a successful London launch last year, Bacta has confirmed that the second Social Responsibility Exchange will be heading further north.

The 2019 Bacta SR Exchange will take place on 13 November 2019 at the Macdonald Manchester Hotel. The venue change is aimed to improve the accessibility of the event for regional stakeholders and given the strong transport links of the surrounding area, should result in increased participation.

Aimed at customer-facing staff, managers and operators, the one-day event has been designed to promote the sharing of knowledge and best practice.

Speaking about the free-to attend event, Bacta’s head of social responsibility and compliance Simon Bradbury commented: “We’re anticipating that the choice of a Northern venue will result in accessibility for an even wider audience and we plan to hold SR Exchange in a variety of different locations in the future.

“The event is a great opportunity for Bacta members to discuss many aspects of social responsibility. Customer- facing staff, managers and operators will be able to take part in workshops facilitated by the Bacta compliance team.

“It is hoped that those attending will share best practice and learn from others in key KYC processes, customer interaction, self-exclusion and safer gambling,” he added.
