Registrations up 40 percent as members respond to ‘Shaping the future’ themed Bacta Convention

Bacta is on course to surpass the participation levels recorded at its 2022 Convention with confirmation that registration figures are 40 percent higher than at the same stage last year.

Bacta’s ‘Shaping the future’ theme and influential cast of speakers has captured the imagination of member organisations as chief executive John White explained. “The really positive feedback we received to last year’s Convention format, speaker line-up and venue has provided us with a solid platform from which to take the association’s annual event to the next level.

“To this end we have introduced a theme which resonates with the macro developments taking place in the industry not least the advances in technology available to games creators and operators as well as the generational changes we anticipate following publication of the White Paper on gambling reform.

“We have raised the bar with a more consumer-style marketing campaign and most importantly we have been able to secure high profile thought leaders including the Minister for Gambling, The Rt Hon Stuart Andrew MP, Kate Nicholls Chief Executive UKHospitality, Michael Dugher, CEO Betting and Gaming Council, Andrew Rhodes CEO UK Gambling Commission and Miles Baron CEO Bingo Association. The Convention will also include a presentation from the Bank of England which will outline the latest expert insight on payments trends including what the Bank is doing to protect access to cash and a presentation dedicated to Net Zero.”

“We will be confirming a number of additional speakers in due course as well as a raft of industry sponsors who have kindly agreed to support the event.”

The 2023 Bacta Annual Convention will take place on 22 November at London’s County Hall. To register contact: SarahR@bacta.org.uk
