4th August 2021 – PRESS RELEASE
Bacta’s Charitable Trust is proud to support Sega Amusements International’s Darrell Webb with £1,000 sponsorship.
Darrell is proposing to walk the full 86-mile length of Hadrian’s Wall from Wallsend on the East coast to the West coast in Cumbria in aid of MIND.
He said, “During the lockdown I decided that I would like to try and help the UK’s largest mental health charity MIND, as I think everybody suffered some down times during lockdown so it would be fulfilling to try and help people who suffer all the time with whatever form of mental issues they may have.”
Bacta CEO and Clerk to the Charitable Trust, John White said, “Earlier this year, over 100 bacta members, including Darrell, took part in our Miles for Smiles initiative, which raised around £4,000. We have decided to earmark this money for individual members’ personal charitable fundraising efforts. It has been an extremely difficult time for many and we wish Darrell the best of luck with such a tough challenge for an extremely worthy cause.”
Darrell added, “I would like to thank bacta for this generous contribution to my fundraising efforts. If anyone else in the industry would like to contribute, my JustGiving page can be found on the link below.”
