Bacta joins UKHospitality

19th May 2021 – Press Release

Bacta, the trade association for the amusement machine industry, has joined UKHospitality, the body representing the broad hospitality sector – covering everything from bars, hotels, coffee shops, contract catering, nightclubs, visitor attractions, escape rooms, bowling alleys, independent and large multi-national sites.

Bacta CEO John White commented, “We have been extremely impressed by the excellent work carried out by UKHospitality during the pandemic. We wish to be further included in their debates on gaming and amusement machines in pubs, bars and arcades and believe that membership of the organisation will be of real benefit to our members.”

“We are delighted to welcome bacta as a new Affiliate member of UKH,” said Kate Nicholls, CEO. “Our associations have worked closely in the past and share common goals for gaming in hospitality venues, so formalising the relationship was a natural progression, as we collectively seek to safeguard our members’ interests in the harsh post-Covid trading environment.”

As the hospitality industry trade body, UKHospitality seeks to unlock the industry’s full potential as one of the biggest engines for growth in the economy and to ensure that the industry’s needs are effectively represented by engaging with the Government, the media, employees and customers.

UK Hospitality ran a number of successful campaigns during the pandemic, including #FAIR4HOSPITALITY and Cut Tourism VAT.
