2024 Parliamentary Reception and Annual Convention confirmed

Bacta members are being encouraged to attend the 2024 Parliamentary Reception which is being held on Wednesday 27 November in the Churchill Room in the House of Commons. The Reception is being hosted by former Culture Secretary and friend to the industry John Whittingdale MP.

Looking ahead to Bacta’s annual flagship event Executive Director George McGregor said: “I am delighted that we have secured the Churchill Room for our Parliamentary Reception and we are in the process of inviting the scores of new MPs representing Bacta members’ constituencies.

“There are 100 spaces available for people to attend and we anticipate it will be at full capacity. As such, I would encourage Bacta members to RSVP as soon as they receive their invites.”

The Parliamentary Reception, which will provide a powerful opportunity for Bacta to present it’s case for the earliest possible implementation of the reforms recommended in the White Paper, will precede the trade association’s Annual Convention which is being held at One Birdcage Walk on Thursday 28 November.

George McGregor noted: “This year Bacta is taking its Convention back into the heart of Westminster, just off Parliament Square.  We are inviting the range of new political stakeholders who have emerged since the General Election, including the Gambling Minister and spokespeople representing the Conservatives and the Liberal Democrats.

“The Gambling Commission has confirmed it’s attendance and we are looking forward to engaging with all of our stakeholders and setting out our agenda for the year ahead.”

Full details and registration forms for both events will be sent to Bacta members at the start of September.
