Following its partnership agreement with RBW Systems, which was announced in June, Bacta has confirmed that Phase 1 of the overhaul of the Bacta Portal, its multi-operator self-exclusion scheme and compliance solution, has been successfully completed.
During Phase 1 the Bacta Portal has continued to operate with RBW taking responsibility for back-office enquiries received from both operators and consumers.
Bacta Vice President Joseph Cullis, who is leading on the project to enhance the Portal’s functionality, coverage and overall user experience said: “The Bacta Portal project represents a significant undertaking and one which has to operate at different levels and in parallel with each other.
“Our end vision is to have a ‘world class’ final product but in the process ensuring zero interruption to a service that enables Bacta members to uphold the multi operator self-exclusion requirements which sit at the heart of their Licence Conditions and Codes of Practice. It is of paramount importance that the best interests of machine players who choose to self-exclude are prioritised which is why successfully completing Phase 1 is so important.”
Rob Wheeler, Managing Director of RBW Systems added: “The RBW team has considerable experience in system transition, which has meant that we have been able to smoothly migrate the support to Bacta members during this development phase.”
He added: “Phase 2, which is well underway will see us make available a new compliance solution within our Guardian portfolio of products which will seamlessly interface with the Bacta Portal. Our shared objective is to ensure that the Bacta Portal operates to the highest possible standards in what is a crucial area for the sector.”
