COVID-19 UPDATE

INSURANCE: Further to my Update earlier this week, the Mishcon de Reya seminar on Business Interruption Insurance has given some hope to some policy holders that some payouts will be made. We await the FCA Court case judgement, but in the meantime Mischom have produced the attached which you might find useful.

SCOTLAND: it was great to receive the green light to reopen on Monday. Delighted though I and members are, I am still left with the sense that this was completely unnecessary. Members’ businesses have been safe to open for months.  

 

Still all members in all parts of the UK are now open for business which is great. I hope every single member can at least salvage something from this year. I know it will be incredibly tough but I feel we are now looking forward which feels good. 

 

I will be away next week.  Where I am going has very poor internet connection so if anyone needs me urgently it would be best to contact Theresa with whom I will check in each evening.
