Covid-19 – Update

Dear Member

COVID-19 UPDATE

Scotland– First Minister, Nicola Sturgeon, today announced further relaxation of the Country’s lockdown measures. This included the bulk of the Tourism Leisure and Hospitality sectors including pubs being permitted to open on 15th July.  Bingo Halls will not be allowed to open before 31st July. The FM, and the documentation accompanying the announcement, was silent on amusement arcades. We are urgently seeking clarification from the Scottish Government.

Pool Tables – following conversations with DCMS over the past week I have today received a note saying that the Home Office has written to police forces to confirm that pool tables can be played in pubs, contrary to advice from some police forces and local authorities to publicans. Hopefully this will put this issue to bed and members will see requests to remove pool tables from sites cease. Please let me know.

Kind Regards

John
