Yvette Cooper joins Tickets2Wishes family fun day

Yvette Cooper joined families at Xscape in Yorkshire recently for a VIP event arranged by the Rays of Sunshine children’s charity, supported by Bacta’s Tickets2Wishes campaign.

The member of parliament for Normanton, Pontefract and Castleford met guests at the arcade, during a family fun day for children suffering serious illness.

“I’m so grateful to the Tickets2Wishes scheme and Funstation who have set up such a glorious family day out for all the families that have benefitted from a wish granted by Rays of Sunshine,” said Cooper.

“I’m very familiar with Xscape Yorkshire’s Entertainment Centre and have visited with my own children in the past. I’m pleased to be back again where I am able to meet families from the Yorkshire and wider Castleford region who have been the recipients of the great work being done through Tickets2Wishes programme.”

Families were able to enjoy a day spent on a range of amusement equipment, thanks to the scheme which sees customers donate unwanted redemption tickets to supporting wish fulfilment, ongoing hospitals support and community engagement.

“By supporting Rays of Sunshine through our Tickets2Wishes scheme we bring deserving families together for a family day out that they won’t soon forget,” said Bacta president James Miller.
